The power of Bulk Flow Analyst™

Traditional methods of analyzing bulk material flow systems involve single-particle motion prediction or fluid-like continuum calculations to estimate material action but fall short due to an inability to predict inter-particle interactions in the flow stream and interactions between the particles and other material. The only alternatives are to use worst-case scenario estimates and to over-engineer the product or process or to build costly prototypes that may only partially predict the outcome and are difficult to evaluate.

The Discrete Element Method (DEM) employed by Applied DEM's product, Bulk Flow Analyst™ (BFA™), enables users to simulate a variety of flow conditions and design concepts without a physical prototype. Flow behaviors often result that weren't predicted by traditional methods, enabling users to identify and solve issues before they happen.
